Festival de San Fermín (Running of the Bulls) 西班牙-奔牛節

Pamplona, Spain — July 6th–July 14th, 2015

The annual Running of the Bulls, also known as la Festival de San Fermín, is a gnarly, non-stop party where you can eat, drink, dance, listen to music and party all night and wake up to an adrenaline-packed, half-mile run with six furious bulls and six steers chasing you into an ancient Spanish arena where you get to feel like Russell Crowe for about an hour as you dodge(閃避) a different oncoming bull every 10 minutes or so.

If you’re a hardcore adrenaline-junkie(熱愛驚險刺激的人) willing to experience one of Spain’s most famous festivals running the risk that you can get gored(頂傷，戳傷) by a bull… you need to attend the next one between July 6th and 14th.

每年的每年7月6日至14日，在西班牙與法國接壤地帶的庇里牛斯山區小鎮潘普洛納(Pamplona)，都會舉辦世界知名的奔牛節。在這期間內，這小鎮會湧入總數高達百萬的旅客，前來一起參與這場盛會，可說是夏日節慶中最令人矚目的一個！其中最精華的就是奔牛活動，每天早上8點，都會有想挑戰自己，不怕死的人報名和公牛一起奔跑。而觀眾也會在柵欄外鼓譟，並且可以拿報紙等激怒公牛。這820公尺長的路途，約4分鐘就會跑完，為此活動的高潮！

La Tomatina 西班牙-蕃茄節

Buñol, Spain – August 26th, 2015

The pictures above may look like a blood bath, and La Tomatina is… but with tomato juice and held annually in Spain on the last Wednesday of every August. An average of 40,000 people show up in a small town to enjoy an hour of the world’s largest food fight, then they party out the rest of the day.

If you want to experience the world’s largest food fight, love tomatoes, are vegetarian, or want to party with a bunch of loco people… this is a must-attend for you.

每年8月的最後一個星期三，在西班牙瓦倫西亞的布尼奧爾(Bunol)小鎮，舉行一年一度的西班牙蕃茄節，自1945開始，番茄大戰就成了布尼奧爾鎮最重要的傳統活動，每年約消耗100噸以上的番茄，原本寧靜的白色小鎮經過瘋狂而失控的番茄大戰祭禮，白牆屋房、巷弄小徑成染上一抹紅！

Holi 印度-灑紅節

If the idea of a massive food fight at La Tomatina sounded awesome too you, you’re going to love Holi. Also known as the festival of love, Holi represents the triumph(勝利) of good over evil. Here, festival-goers engage in a celebration of color by dousing each other in a variety of colored powders. There’s an ancient Hindu back story behind the purpose of Holi that you can check out in preparation for the next one on March 6th, 2015!

印度三大節慶之一的色彩節，將在每年3月前後的月圓之日舉行，到了這天，到處呈現一片瘋狂的七彩絢麗，人們會將五顏六色的顏料和粉末向彼此身上潑灑，開始瘋狂攻擊，尤其是身為外國人的你我更是不能錯過，讓人變彩色的，街道也變彩色的，甚至連恆河的水都變彩色的，人人互相擁抱、跳舞慶祝，燃燒火焰，將顏料塗抹在別人額頭以示祝福,並高喊：「Happy Holi！」

Up Helly AA 英國-聖火節

Like Game of Thrones(權力遊戲) or Lord of The Rings(魔戒)? Here’s your chance to live like you’re in that time era. I have yet to attend Up Helly AA and only recently discovered how awesome it looks, however you can find more info here.

在歷史上，生活在斯堪的那維亞半島的維京人，經常擄掠歐洲大陸，聖火節即是向維京時代的一次致敬！人們會扮成維京武士慶祝聖火節，向維京時代的過去表達的一種敬意。Helly-Aa意為最後的聖潔之日，為了慶祝這個節日，當地人會穿著古維京人的服飾，並在慶祝儀式中點燃一個仿制的長達32英尺的巨型維京戰艦！

Oktoberfest 德國-啤酒節

Munich, Germany — September 19th–October 4th, 2015

Dirndels and lederhosens, beautiful women and drunk men combine at this crazy festival packed with some of the world’s finest beer as everybody celebrates the harvest season. The history of Oktoberfest goes back to 1810 when Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese of Sax-Hildburghausen and citizens of Munich were invited to attend festivities in the field in front of the city gates. Over 200 years later, we still celebrate!

Enjoy one-liter steins of your favorite German beers, eat delicious Bavarian food, do the chicken dance, and enjoy the festival rides… just don’t puke(嘔吐).

慕尼黑啤酒節被譽為全世界最大的節慶，也是最廣為人知的啤酒節。最初是由 1810 年所舉行的一場巴伐利亞皇室婚禮所演變而來的，當初為慶祝婚禮的飲酒狂歡，如今則成為德國境內最盛大、最具特方特色的傳統民俗慶典，世界上再也找不到比德國人更熱愛啤酒的民族了！！！

Burning Man 美國-火人祭

Black Rock City, Nevada — August 31st – September 7th, 2015

For one week, Black Rock City becomes the third largest populated city in Nevada… before it’s all taken down with no trace of existence. I have yet to go to this festival, and plan to next year. From what I’ve heard, it is so epically bizarre I don’t even think a description will help explain what Burning Man is all about. There are live DJs, a naked sushi camp, TED talks, amazing art and people, and more… all living in a gifting society that they have created.

If you’ve read up to this point, my guess is you want to experience the world’s craziest videos .Assuming that, check out this video of a virgin “burner’s” experience at Burning Man and come join me at the Playa next year!

The World Cup is quite possibly the most epic of world festivals. With a TV viewership of over a billion people, 16 national teams play against each other head to head to win the glorious title of World Cup champions. The first one took place in Uruguay back in 1930 and tradition has kept them continuing once every 4 years, from June to July for a month of amazing performances of football (soccer), supported from the sidelines by crazy fans and lots of celebration.

It brings people together from different nations, parts of the world, and cultures; a wonderful time for celebration and unity. If you want to experience the diversity of the world’s nations come together for outstanding sports performances, you need to come to Russia in 2018 for the next World Cup.
